The Nazi

From my research on Nazi consolidation, I learnt about how the origins of the Holocaust, and how the Nazi Party gained so much power.

Personally, I don’t think there is anything positive about the pre-holocaust events. My reasoning for this is; The Nazi gang are a merciless and manipulative party, as their true intentions are revealed a number of times throughout my research. They would sneak their way up to power, by using Germany's moments of weakness, such as; The Reichstag Fire, where the Nazis seized on this event in order to gain power by turning Germany against the Communist Party, as a member of the Communist Party was arrested for the crime.

The events leading up to the Holocaust somewhat relate to Donald Trumps thirst for power. Donald Trump's racism towards black and hispanic people relates to Adolf Hitler’s hatred towards Jewish people.

My research takes place before the Hitler became the President of Germany. The first article is about the Reichstag Fire, which was the first step for the Nazi Party to gain complete power over Germany. In the seventh article, it speaks about the death of President Hindenburg and Hitler’s announcement that he would hold a vote on whether or not Hitler could combine the roles of chancellor and president. This would mean Hitler would become Germany’s official president. The majority of Germany were in favour, receiving 87.93% of the vote.

Something which I would be interested to know is: did most of Germany really support Hitler and the Nazi Party, or were they only supportive because they were afraid of the consequences which could follow if they did not identify as a Nazi Party supporter.
